This puts ADA fire-fighting suits at the forefront of innovation, allowing people to perform at their best, confident that they’re protected in every situation. As both manufacturer and supplier, ADA customers enjoy total service, from initial consultation, fabric and design prototyping with wearer trials, independent testing, to delivery and through-life support. Station wear

ADA station wear.
Smart, functional, tailored to customer needs.

Because fire services use station wear in different ways, garment design must meet the following criteria;

Appearance
Create a professional uniform look, reflecting the importance of the fire-fighter's role in the community.

Comfort
Design, construction and fabric must deliver high levels of comfort in the station and out in the field.

Performance
Construction and fabric must stand up to the rigours of the workplace.

ADA use fabrics from leading Australian and overseas manufacturers including Nomex®, Kevlar®, Lenzing Fr, Kermel, Proban, Westex and Tecasafe Plus. Our flame retardant station wear exceeds the requirements of Australian Wildland standard AS 4824--2006.

FAQ

Do ADA garments conform to Australian and international standards?

Yes. Wildlands garments conform to Australian Wildlands Standard AS4824—2006 and Wildlands International Standard ISO 15384. Structural fire-fighting ensembles exceed Australian Standard AS4967—2009 as well as European method EN469. ADA manufacture garments from fabrics supplied by internationally recognised and qualified textile houses. Every fabric batch is independently tested for flammability performance to ISO 15025 A&B—Flame Spread, after multiple laundry cycles.

How many times can l wash the garment?

ADA FR garments can be laundered as many times as necessary. There is no specific laundry cycle number that denotes the end of a garments FR performance. Our suppliers conduct flame testing for every batch. Random testing is often conducted after 100 wash and dry cycles with no reduction in FR performance.

What is the difference between Flame Retardant and Inherently Flame Resistent?

Flame Retardant is normally associated with 100% cotton fabrics that are treated with Proban to make them flame resistant.

Inherently Flame Resistent belong to a family of fibres whose chemical structure do not support flame. Nomex, Kermel and Conex are part of this family.
